Emmett is a three year old racing greyhound, who was forced to retire following an injury. He was rescued by The Retired Greyhound Trust and taken into kennels, where he would stay unless someone offered him a permanent home. That someone was my sister. Her trainer saw no potential in her as a good racer, so she was retired at the age of 18 months (a typical Grey starts racing at age 2).
