what language will we use? given a finite life span, it is tempting to promote an approach of using one particular language. won't we then, using this platform, need to be able to implement other languages? Even if our implementation is 1000 times too slow, this could still be an effective tool to use. what language will we use? Matlab? PHP and Mysql?
