Sometimes it is the journey that creates the stories as opposed to the final destination. Over the 3 day trip (each way) from the capital city of Bamako to the Festival in the Desert (past Timbuktu), rivers had to be crossed, cars broke down, drivers walked into the desert to get help, and more.
