Colin Towns scores "The Wolves of Willoughby Chase"
Colin Towns is probably Europe's most underrated working composer. One of the few commercially released scores of his, for the 1989 children's fantasy film "The Wolves of Willoughby Chase", Towns wrote an utterly gorgeous, sweeping, romantic and highly melodic score, performed by the Munich Symphony. This suite illustrates some of the wonderful highlights from the score. A rare, little-heard and highly rapturous effort from this most overlooked composer. Enjoy!...

Bruce Smeaton scores "The Iceman"
Here's a suite from Smeaton's quite wonderful score to the underrated 1984 film, "The Iceman". This was, to the best of my knowledge, the first "Hollywood" score to use a sakuhatchi (Japanese Wood Flute--I probably misspelled it!). It's a really great theme that is really allowed to soar to magnificent levels at the film's finale (heard in the final minute or so of this suite). Enjoy!
