54.01. The track was rapidly drying, making previous laps irrelevant. After a safety car period, I only had time for one lap, you can see the chequered flag at the end of the lap. Lost just under a second held up through Graham Hill.

After my first pit stop to deal with the overheating and brake problem, I was at the back of the field. Started to make my way up past the Production cars, but then a another safety car (a total of 3 unrelated incidents!), so decided to pit again for fuel.

The conditions at Paddock Hill Bend during the Elise Trophy Brands Indy endurance race were strange, there was a dry line but it was very narrow, almost narrower than the track of the car, so it was very difficult to keep all four wheels on the dry.
