This is a video displaying a mod I'm currently working on for IL-2 1946. It adds smoke to the gun fire while retaining a muzzle flash and adding a trail of smoke behind those guns with ejection ports. Unfortunately I had to get rid of the falling cartridge effect for it to work, but honestly I think the falling brass is secondary to the smoke from the guns. If you watch archival footage its hard to see.
