The word 'consonant' causes so many pronounciation problems on Countdown. Contestants of all abilities, educational backgrounds, and capabilities seem to struggle. Gordon was certainly no moron, and in fact went on to win this game against a strong competitor, but even he took us to five 'CONTINENTS' after a good CONSONANT start.
