D1015 departs York Station with lots of clag for Scarborough - In HD
On the 5th December 2009 D1015 "Western Champion" departs York Station for Scarborough with the "Western White Rose" charter run by the ITG and Pathfinder Tours. The loco gives loads of clag on departure as well as a fair bit of thrash. It is also interesting to note that the loco was giving loads of clag when stationary! Freightliner Class 70 Powerhaul
Class 70 idles at Ipswich, during training. I believe the clag is when the tick over rate changes, in order to avoid the cylinders coking up.

1A16 57309 390004 with 6-tonne and clag
Another trip out to Llandudno Junction to see the 1A16 Virgin Trains service from Holyhead - London Euston (Holyhead - Crewe under 'Thunderbird' Class 57 power). Today, the drag is Virgin trains 57309 'Brains' at the helm with Virgin 390004 being dragged to Crewe before it takes on the OHLE system. Thank you ever so much driver for the 6-tonne horn. My lordz! Do I see clag? lol
