Blizzard 2009, Charlottesville, VA

Said to have been the 4th worst storm in Charlottesville's history, the Blizzard of 2009 really caught everyone by surprise. Two days out the forecast was just rain. One day out it turned into 1 to 3 inches of snow. Eight hours it was upgraded to 8 to 12 inches of snow. Just 5 hours before the storm began it was further upgraded to 12 to 18 inches.
