This is Matthew Wittmer learning how to walk on a 22 foot tight rope (hemp), 3/4 inch diameter, that has a 4:1 tension between 4 carabiners. The walking rope is also secured by two cavaletti ropes. to walk a tight rope. He is walking on twisted hemp rope, 3/4 inch in diameter, that is secured by a manually pulled 4:1 tension system on one end achieved by threading static climbing rope back and forth through four carabiners, two of which are clipped through the thimble the hemp rope is threaded through.
