This is a 2kw induction heater. The coil is 4.5T of 3/8" water-cooled copper tubing. The capacitor bank is 4.4uf and can handle 300A. The inverter uses a half-bridge topology. I feed 120vac into a voltage multipler. In this video I have placed a steel nut in the coils on a high temperature ceramic plate. I take the inputs up to 100vac and 20A. Blowing up the motor from a POS Feature Comforts fan. I connected a three speed pull chain and a capacitor and I'm just cycling it through the switch positions. First you see the fan running, then it smokes and slows down until it stops. One of the windings blows, and the fan goes to full speed. Then the second winding blows, and the motor is dead.
