Steam bending wood for a skin-on-frame kayak with Duane Strosaker, and his assistant, Ken Fry. Flat grain red oak with minimal grain run-out was chosen from Lowes, and only $45 was spent on it, which turned out to be enough to bend for two kayaks. Only one rib had to be replace, and a second was replaced to make it perfect.

This is my CPVC kayak frame with a brown tarp skin. In this video I'm just testing it after building. My paddle had just broken; as I was using a crappily duct taped set of two plastic paddles. They have since been fixed and you can see them in the pt. II of this video where i'm about to use this kayak for it's intended purpose, fishing!
