The BCT8, BCT10 and BCT15 are all good scanners for the open road. When used properly and with good luck you can get a save or 2 out of them.

sounds fairly easy, as Uniden kindly provided the scanner with a basic interaction protcol with the BC-RH96 remote head: any key press can be emulated via serial port display content can be dumped in the same way widget is written in Tcl/Tk: so far a bit too beta to release, but stay tuned check tarapippo.blogspot.com and www.tarapippo.net for updates

Again, nothing special. This merely shows how the BCT15 scans. My last scanner was the Pro-2006 that I bougt about 20 years ago - MAN have things changed!!

This is my New Uniden BCD996XT. I live near Lake George, NY which is where some of the Boston Central ATC towers are (atop of Prospect Mountain). With an Austin Ferret Antenna at 30', using 50' of LMR-600-UF feedline I get great results. I'll post more once I get the radio programmed. Note that what you hear in th ebackground is my BCT15 which is hearing local Police.
