MESA/Boogie Mark IIB Demo

MESA/Boogie Mark IIB Demo

Here's a few tone samples from my 1981 MESA/Boogie Mark IIB combo amplifier. In true Mark series tradition, it's a 1x12 combo loaded with an Electrovoice EVM12L speaker. This particular example had some of the desirable optional extras added at purchase - 60/100W switch, graphic EQ and spring reverb. The tolex is actually a standard option, in the early Eighties Boogie offered a choice of the traditional black or the cream colour of this amplifier (in addition to the famous hardwood cabinets ...

Fender Princeton Silverface Demo

Fender Princeton Silverface Demo

A couple of clean sounds from my Silverface Fender Princeton amplifier. The Princeton is a really brilliant little combo - a single 10 inch speaker, two 6V6 output tubes producing 12 watts of tone, tube rectification and a beautiful tremolo circuit to boot. If you want a proper vintage tube amp but don't want to spend stacks and stacks of cash, these are such good value - you can crank it and not get much beyond bedroom volume. Great fun!

Roland Jazz Chorus JC-50 Demo

Roland Jazz Chorus JC-50 Demo

Sample demo of a Roland JC-50 Jazz Chorus amplifier. This particular model is often overlooked in light of its very famous older brother, the classic JC-120. This is a much more portable amplifier which will bring you some of that hallowed Jazz Chorus magic at a fraction of a the size, weight and price! There's not that much media relating to this amp on the web, so hopefully this video will give prospective owners, and of course the curious, a better idea of the sound that made this series ...

MESA/Boogie Mark I Demo

MESA/Boogie Mark I Demo

A quick tour of a few tones from the MESA/Boogie Mark I amplifier. Hopefully this will give prospective owners (and the curious) a better idea of what this amp can do. When I looked at getting hold of this amp I couldn't find a video that demoed just a few basic sounds, thus the creation of this one - I hope it's of some help to someone! This particular amp is quite unusual, as it is a 1x15 combo - of course, the vast majority of Mark I's are 12" combos or heads. Anyway, thanks for watching ...
