57th Annual Rotary Carol Festival in Vernon, BC Each year the Vernon Rotary Club hosts the Rotary Carol Festival. Donations from the carol festival go toward the Seniors Spring Breakout, held each spring. Local Seniors are picked up and driven to the Breakout event, and are treated to music, entertainment, dancing and a meal. Kaleden British Columbia - Two historic buildings, the General Store and neighbouring Hotel in Kaleden. Contrary to rumour, the hotel never burnt down. Financial difficulties around the time of the First World War led to the closing of the hotel and subsequent salvage of all re-usable material. Only the concrete shell remains.
