6th annual Roy Track Memorial Mesa Pow Wow
some very nice drumming and singing shot this morning at the pow wow. Enjoy !! Hundreds of dancers representing more than two dozen Native American tribes converge on Pioneer Park this weekend for the 26th Annual Roy Track Memorial Mesa Powwow. Many of the dancers, including the renowned Apache Crown Dancers from the San Carlos Reservation, are from Arizona. But there will also be contingents from California, New Mexico, Washington, Oregon and Texas.

Dennis playing Frank's "Capitol Fiddle" #170 Video # 2
Here is more video shot recently at the annual VMAAI convention in Tuscon Az. It features Dennis Alexander playing a new instrument made by Frank Daniels. This is a very unique fiddle that Frank is calling his "Capitol Fiddle". It is his instrument number 170. The back, sides, and neck of this instrument were crafted from a very special oak tree and the top is of engleman spruce. I LOVE THIS BAND !! Neon Prophet Band........from Tuscon Arizona. I stopped in at the Chicago Bar on a recent Thursday night during a recent visit to Tuscon, Arizona. The music was excellent as usual and Chip Ritter was in rare form and allowed me to shoot some video of his amazing drumming style.
