An aviator qualifies on 6 airframes during the span of a decade. It all takes place near the US Navy base at Pearl Harbor. As the types of aircraft he flies get more advanced, signs of the times become apparent, such as the quality of film used to shoot the movie. Harrier VTOL Shipboard Training in Wings Over Europe
Harrier VTOL Shipboard Training in Wings Over Europe ( WOE ). I used the Desert Storm mod available at www.combatace.com for Wings Over Europe. Doing what the Harrier is designed for isn't easy and I have to hand it to the aviators of the RAF, USMC, Spanish Navy, and Italian Navy for what the can do. In this video I (very sloppily) do a VTOL take off and a near VTOL landing aboard a small LHA.

V 1 Engine Run
Chino has a V-1 engine that they decided to run on a Saturday in early July. My dad and I were lucky enough to catch it. I did the filming and you will hear a lot of wind in this one. One thing this video does not accurately protray was the LOUD thump you heard when then engine was started. It was so loud a car alarm, or so, went off.
