Meriweather is a Kentucky fiddle tune. No one is really sure where it came from, but I've read that Bruce Greene field recorded it in the 70's. Though Clyde Davenport may have the most popular version, I got this one from Lynn Chirps Smith. Key of G.

This is a new fiddle tune I've composed. I've named it after the Northern New York town my mom grew up in. Her father played old-time fiddle and they held dances on Saturday nights at their farmhouse in the 1920s & 30s.
