Relay driven transistor

Relay driven transistor

A simple circuit for CFL lighter utilizing relay and transistor. To avoid spark relay is used to drive a transistor. Very sharp shut off current from relay would switch the transistor to it's max speed.

CFL lighting, with or without filament?

Show that for coil collaps current utilization, without filament is the best way to light up CFL.

20 mA one wire neon

Show that one wire can be achieved using 20ma at 12V. Need luck though. And there could be more effcient circuit.

charging battery in parallel will reduce the charging share

Show that adding battery in parallel reduce charging of existing battery. Have no effect on input or output current at all except when different type of battery added.

More effcient hv triggered joule thief with transformer with core

This build use 9V/240V transformer with soft iron core. More effcient with 60ma at 12V can charge 2.8V battery with 80ma.

Joule thief can light up neon or charge battery but not both.

Show how joule thief as radiant oscillator can output voltage high enough to light up neon, but also low enough to charge a battery. But not both. This circuit of mine need some poking before it can generate HV output
