Alger Chaine 3, the French language network of Radiodiffusion-Télévision Algerienne, on longwave 252 khz received in Germany on 10 December 2009 at 20:00 UTC via the 1500 kw transmitter at Tipaza. Distance: 1836 km. Receiver: Sony ICF-SW7600GR with built-in ferrite antenna. This is a daily catch (no real DX) at my location, but it is always nice to receive Chaine 3 with its interesting programme. Some interference is caused by RTE Radio 1 from Ireland on the same frequency.

Receiver: Lowe HF-225 Europa with 7.5 meter indoor wire antenna. The signal was very weak, but a jingle of "Rás 2" (2nd programme) is audible at 0:15 minutes. The Gufuskalár antenna mast with a height of 412 m is the highest building in Western Europe according to Wikipedia.
