Just hanging out a little southeast of Fairview Peak, which is about 40 miles east of Fallon, NV. Someone had driven ahead of me, which made it a little easier but I did bust some virgin snow as well. Winter days in NV are extremely quiet and peaceful.

Imagine the valley without the dam. This is what killed John Muir, I believe. The O'Shaugnessy Dam is a fine example of the criminal behavior and hypocricy of the Federal government and the City of San Francisco. This reservoir is right in the middle of a National Park. It does not belong there. It could be removed but liberals in San Fran, who pretend to embrace nature and who claim conservatives ruin the planet, won't take down the dam. It's a real shame...the valley could be Yosemite's ...

Turn up the volume. The drips coming from the roof of Moaning Cave 150 or so feet up are landing in these little pits in the rock at the floor of the cave and make interesting music.
