Yeah the silencer needed repacking BAD! took it apart and had to use the torch and brush to get all the old HARD carbonized packing off the... I dunno what to call the inner pipe with all the holes in it.. anyway, you know. After the whole thing glowed red and was brushed off it was pretty clean, repacked with cheapo stuff ;) and it's actually tolerable now

eh.. only 12 minutes to upload. Might as well let you see this too if you wanna. Engine's back together with new crank seals and the cylinder's ported some now so no more burning transmission oil and there's a bit more power (!!!!?!?!????) (how about if it's called a CR85X ? ) Okay, not the first time he started it but it was a cold start and I cut out some while he was warming it up so you wouldn't get so bored ;) He ran it in his yard for a bit just after it was dropped off. Can't do a whole lot in a little yard though! This bike almost keeps up with the 500 through the first couple gears!

October 29, 2009. Fun spot to cruize over at around 35, 40 ;) as long as your bike's not running like CRAP and smoking like crazy... not sure if it was too much oil in the gas or... hmm... hope that was it. easy to fix. Update: yes, there was more oil in the gas than there should have been. No, that wasn't the reason the bike ran like absolute crap and emitted huge clouds of awful smelling smoke. Looks like a bad crank seal... sigh... which means I get to split the engine cases... ...
