Finally the dispatcher cuts the MPBFW loose, after letting two trains get by him. The UP 1982 and UP1996 are in charge today. This combo has been sticking together here lately. They're heading south on this nice Sunday evening. Great horn action leaving town. When the first crossing gates activate, you can hear two other train horns Those are two trains leaving the yard behind the MPBFW. I didnt stick around for those. I got what I wanted and a few extras.

Well i'm still waiting for the UP 1982 and the dispatcher decides to run another train around the MPBFW. The UP 8653 is in charge of the GSJDNT-23 today. It has a rather different sound K5LLA.

While waiting for the UP 1982 & UP 1996 on the MPBFW, Dispatcher 18 decides to run the IMNLAR around the MPBFW. The MPBFW is holding back at Missouri St. on main #2. The IMNLAR comes down main 1 and crosses over to main 2 because of another train holding main 2 out at West Pine Bluff. The UP 4513 leads five other units on a loaded intermodal train. The IMNLAR is mostly empty EMP intermodal containers headed back to Ls Angeles, CA.

And finally, the last train of the night rolls by on main #2. The QLINL rolls into town with one of few C40-8's left in Conrail paint. He falls into dynamic braking coming down the hill from LR Jct to keep his at 25 mph. That was the last train of the night. We were cut short because rain moved into town.

We staged a get together at Union Station this past Saturday night. In attendance was your truly, abewyly,ryansamuelbarry,kenz, and some other guy who had on a pair of huge eyeglasses. The weather was nice and we had a good time. First train up was the MFWNL.
