Zoe has sadly out grown her tank that she has called home for the past 3 years.She needs a wide breeder type tank. Unlike a lot of the bigger sliders shown on the videos, Zoe is very fearful when out of her environment,and does not like to wander through the house or enclosed areas. Bella, 3 months to the day that we brought her home.She has incredible energy for such a petite older mare..She continues to gain weight, and is enjoying her new life. Still not living with the other horses. I will keep her seperated untill summer. Maybe we will be able to start building the barn.

Murphy has a lot of get up and go for an older, very overweight fellow.He is a very good kids horse,is at the low end of the pecking order, and is a very smooth riding fellow. We are really going to try to slim him down a bit. the camera makes him look heavier than he really is.. actually it makes me look heavier than I am too.. I think,,,oh yes,, I am that heavy.. I just keep forgetting.

Bella day 2. we should have stuck to the walk trot, as she is too fast into the canter. She is so much more at ease today. She is on a little looser rein. She blew alot and her body was not tense as it was yesterday. we will work slowly with the trot until she can carry herself with little contact. Too soon for a canter, I shouldn't have pushed her into it.

Bella and Murphy after the riding. saddles off, and tearing around the arena. Murphy has sat at the kitchen table a little too much this winter, and has a hard time keeping up with the much older Bella. Bella moves like a little deer. Murphy is a sweetie little teddy bear type.

Bella, my little rescue mare. She is a doll! This is our first ride together. She is nervous and a little worried that it will be as painful as in her past.(she has white scar hair damage from her withers to her tail dock) She has gained approx 100 pounds since we brought her home the end of November. Zoe is crazy about watermelon, I think I gave her too big of a piece, as she looked as though she was having a hard time swallowing.. Smaller pieces next time. Some times she gets so excited over the watermelon that she dances and splashes water all over the carpet outside the tank. I know her tank is not the largest, but she is very comfortable in her home.I turn the right waterfall filter off at night, along with her light on the same side so she has a normal sleep pattern.
