It was cold,sleeting and snowing, but I had to catch some bass n' pike. There were baitfish all over, so an X-Rap(clown#5), Strike King Crank(Sexy Shad,mini3) and Stanley spinnerbait(chartreuse/white,modified/new Hildebrandt 3.5 gold willowleaf blade) were the top lures. Dale Hollow Lake, an awesome lake of beauty and good fishing. In two weeks, I got to go twice and catch my first smallmouth and spotted basses. We fished only the Kentucky side. Barren River Lake is another nice lake, though not as clear, it is good for catching catfish, sunnies,bass and crappies. I only caught one white crappie.
