This is an extremely compact and stable surf skurfer made almost entirely out of light-weight foam structurally enforced with balsa wood planks. This foam catamaran was a 2nd version and much more streamlined than the first because I used a foam hot-wire tool and sand paper to keep the surface smooth, plus I reinforced the foam with a strip of balsa wood. I made this aftermarket catamaran attachment out of foam, balsa wood to add reinforcement, and stuck it all together with a low-temperature foam glue gun. In Northern California, Luke Stockett demonstrates how to turn random driftwood into exercise equipment on the beach. In this instance, logs are used for the chest bench press exercise. The key to log benching is in balancing the log on the open palms of your hands without allowing the log to rotate, avoid sand falling off the log into your eyes (sunglasses or shooting glasses recommended) and throwing the log wood over your head when you are done with a set.
