Cruising through a magnificent chain of karst islands in the Wagmab Chain of islands, Southeast Misool, Indonesia. This island chain is over 10 miles long, and comprises a maze of narrow windy channels, sheltered inlets and bays, and luxuriant coral reefs. A group of graduates from the Amazon Indigenous Training Center in Manaus, Brazil, gather for their graduation picture. Known locally as CAFI, the center was inaugurated in 2006 by the Conservancy and Brazils largest indigenous organization, COIAB, aimed at training young indigenous leaders in land management and public policies. Since its inception, CAFI has trained 86 young indigenous leaders from all the states in the Brazilian Amazon.
