We had a uke jam last night and we recorded this after midnight and after several cold ones, etc.... Me, Nick (uke) and John (Bass). Missing in action: Andy, David and Mr. Russ Buss. This was our fourth meet up. We are still getting the feel for the group. Our goal is to do some busking in Downtown SF and Farmers Market in Oaktown.

For ukeshales Go 90's Contest on Ukulele Underground - As a parent, this song from Waits hit me hard. It is from his amazing 1999 lp Mule Variations. This was my second take, as my first one I did not have the zoom h4 recording. A bunch of misques but it had a lot of emotion, so I went with it.

I have been working on this tune for awhile now. I messed up in several parts and it took me a dozen takes to get this down. I really love the ragtime feel of a lot of Blake, Blind Boy Fuller, Willie mctell and other guitarists of this era of the blues. Here is a cover of one of my fav songs by Daniel Johnston. I was planning on recording this song in the nice sunny weather, but wouldn't you know it - it is raining! Oh, well so much for best laid plans. I recorded the audio for this on my new Zoom h4 - although I think the level was a bit low.
