In 2003, Muslim preacher Abdullah al Faisal became the first Sheikh to be sentenced in the UK for inciting racial hatred and soliciting murder. It was a landmark case as nobody in the history of Britain had ever been prosecuted under the Offences against the Persons Act, with the absence of a victim. Taji Mustafa Hizb ut-Tahrir interview

Channel News's Nina Arif spoke to Taji Mustafa from Hizb ut-Tahrir UK, a group which calls for the restoration of a Caliphate across the Muslim world. This was on the day that Turkey marked 85 years since the abolishment of the Islamic Khilafah state. In a new report, Amnesty International lashed out at Saudi Arabia over abuses allegedly committed as part of its counter-terrorism operations. The human rights group said that since 2001, thousands of Saudi suspects had been detained for years without charge or trial, and described the Kingdoms human rights record as 'shocking' and 'dire'.
