Todd Trites also won with Woodmere Fastball, another gelded son of Western Success, who posted a 1:59 decision for owner David Lund of Moncton, besting Calmlee Jason (Carl Isenor) and Seawind Dropper (Phil Pinkney). Wally Wood of Charlottetown bred the winner of three races and $25000 this year.

The other division went to Urge To Win, who got up the passing lane for Shane Bernard to nip N Xample Deal (Danny Romo) by a head in a 2:01.1 mile. Paul Doyle, John Duffy and Brian Andrew co-own the Collector Rd colt, bred by Meridian Farms, who went over the $20000 mark in seasonal earnings with the victory. Larshegoes, a filly owned by George and Earith Riley of Summerside finished third in this division for Clare macdonald.

Kingofthecastle was a coast-to-coast winner in 1:59 for Todd Trites and co-owners Kyle and Joseph Gardiner of Cardigan and Mount Stewart, drawing off to win by six lengths over Chris N Tel Arrow (Robert Laffin). Semjac Legacy was third for Darren Crowe. The victory was the 11th in 20 starts this year for Kingofthecastle, a gelded son of Western Success bred by Clifton Gardiner of Cardigan, PEI.

$5200 Nova Scotia Series event for three-year-old trotters. Teddy Smallwood of Charlottetown won the event with his gelded son of Black River, Dunmore Chip, who won by three parts of a length over West River Tigger (Clare macdonald) in a 2:07.4 mile. Dunmore Laird from the Earl Smith stable was third for Ryan Perrot and owners Cory Sudsbury of Charlottetown and Thane Mann of Kensington. The winner was bred by Ralph mccully of Antigonish, NS
