This is a re-do of Greensleeves using a Sony cybershot camera with resultant better sound than my previous attempt. I am playing in 4/4 time instead of the traditional 3/4 time. Greensleeves - Martin HD28 guitar - Fingerpicking This is a test of my $50 Creative webcam and free unregistered Hypercam software to see how well it performs recording vids for You Tube. I am using a new Plantronics PC mic(~$15). I think there is some distortion in the sound recording and I hear a volume fluctuation occasionally. Hmmmm. Curious! Boatsman (or boatman) on banjo. I have heard other versions of this tune, as well. It seems that this is one of those tunes that diversified regionally. I meant to say that the 3rd time through there is a alternate "C" part (not "B" part). I hope that you enjoy.

This is what I do to keep my acoustic guitars humidified in the dry winter months. It beats spending $15-20 for a store bought version that does the same job. If you want it to look less homemade, paint the top cover black. Have fun. Don't forget to recycle. (The drumming sound that you might hear in the background on the video?....the drummer who lives next door.)

This is a tune taught to us by Cody mcmanus of Saco, Maine, the author of the tune. We recorded using an M-Audio digital recorder at Lake Genero, but the pictures are of the Black Creek Fiddler Reunion gathering and of Clifftop, WV. Lake Genero 2007. These are pictures taken over the weekend of Labor Day of 2007. We field recorded A Soldier's Joy using an M-Audio digital recorder. For this and several other tunes, Cody, a fiddler from Maine, joined us with his the jaw harp. Little Reyna brought out her fiddle and showcased her talents, unfortunately, we didn't record that.
