turbo shopping kart boost test....AVI

doing a little test of the boost to show it really boosts... the first darkest digit on the gauge is 5 psi also i noticed the oil tank broke off the turbo's flange AWWWW COME ON!! hehehe just before shooting this vid i went for a test ride in the asphalted street next to mine and i'm pretty sure the needle went to 10 psi lol thats insane

homemade st-50 jet engine test #2 on liquid fuel (diesel).AVI

secon test run of my st-50 gas turbine... still some gremlin to kick out... it seems like it looses its pressure while running hence the sound variation... at a certain time you can clearly see that i'm not toutching the throttle and the engine is varying in speed... also seems like it drinks a little oil... crap... and the feckin huge 12v motor for the fuel pump sucked ALL the juice off my bigass 12v marine deep discharge battery in about less than 10 mins...lol also it almost drank all the ...

turbo kart ride test

it wasnt boosting as it should... maybe the empty oil tank was the reason... lol yeah there was no more oil in the tank... edit: realt reason why it wasnt at his best was a completely cracked exhaust!! lol massive loss of flow to the turbo

turbo shopping kart V.2 smart kp31 turbo @6psi

well yeah i turboed a gx160... makes 6-7 psi of boost at full throttle and is a REAL thrill to ride. i know it smokes a lot and i'm trying to fix this... i think the turbo doesn't like the draw through setup... my estimated speed is 60kmh but i'll have to check that with a car besides me! for the build log go on www.diygokarts.com/vb/showthread.php?t=927 enjoy! homemade st 50 turbojet engine test #1

this is the first test of my st-50 based turbojet engine i built when i was 18. i think it failed to start either because of lack of fuel (bbq propane tank) or too small leaf blower... what do you think? the gas nozzle is a bolt with 2 1/16 holes in it maybe the nozzle is wrong... anyway i'm planning on running it on diesel... (the noise in the background is my camry for the lighting lol)
