Woman attacked by police impersonator

Noblesville police are still looking for a man they say impersonated a police officer and attacked a woman in the early morning hours. Police said the incident happened along one of Noblesvilles busiest roadways, State Road 38 just east of Hague Road at about 2:30 am Tuesday. The victim, described only as a 29-year-old female told police she was headed westbound on SR 38 when she saw red lights in her rearview mirror. The victim said she pulled over.

Brother charged in death of boy, 10

Police said a 17-year-old Ohio County teen is being held in connection with his 10-year-old brother's death. A detention hearing for the teen in Rising Sun, Indiana wrapped up late Tuesday afternoon. Police arrested the teen on Sunday. He faces an initial charge of battery causing serious bodily injury. Investigators are still calling the case a death investigation. Students on IPS bus when fire erupts

Firefighters helped put out a fire involving an IPS school bus on the citys west side. Two witnesses called 24-Hour News 8 about the incident at 21st Street and Harding Wednesday evening. The bus was transporting students from the Key Learning Community River School on Wednesday afternoon when the driver noticed a mechanical problem underneath the bus. Every day police officers make routine traffic stops. On rare occasions, someone tries to impersonate an officer by performing a fake traffic stop. Fake stops don't happen very often, but drivers should always be aware. State Trooper Michael Mosier said if drivers feel that it could be a bogus cop or traffic stop, they should try to remember details about who pulled them over.
