The surf in IB on 11-27-2009. A fairly large swell that was closing out the regular locations. The only call in IB on this day was The Slough. A cadre of 15-20 guys out in the lineup. The surf in good form and breaking Overhead. To say the slough is breaking overhead is a redundancy, as it does'nt break until it's overhead. The surf in IB on Thanksgiving Day, 1-26-09. Photographed everywhere from north side of the pier down to the Slough. Just an average waiste to head high swell, but the stellar 75deg sunshine, slight offshore breeze and super clear skies made for a classic day at the beach. The surf in IB on the morning of 11-24-2009. A nice N/W swell the held from over the weekend. A reeling overhead barrel rolling through at decanso. A few guys out trading waves. some wipeouts, some close outs, and some amazing rides. A shading and motion test for graphic elements to be incorporated into a time lapse photography sunset. An eclipse cannot happen on a full moon. But I wanted to be able to track the path of the moon across the sky. So some shading was necessary to make the moon visible, yet have it still be beliavable at the moment of totality.
