Engelbert Humperdinck "Those Were The Days" 1971

Engelbert Humperdinck

This is one of those recordings that remained "in the can" for several years before appearing on the mail order only LP in 1975 entitled "20 Greatest Hits". It surfaced again in 1978 on the London records compilation LP "Love Letters". I believe it was recorded in either 1970 or 1971 and was probably meant to be included on either the "We Made It Happen" or the "Sweetheart" lps. It's anybody's guess. It is such a great recording and why it's release was delayed is beyond me. It leads one to ...

Engelbert Humperdinck "A Holiday 2-fer" 1980 Happy Holidays To All!!

Engelbert Humperdinck

Here's a special holiday gift from both Engelbert and me to all of his wonderful supporters out there. These are 2 of my favorite Engelbert holiday recordings. It's not the holidays to me until Enge hits the turntable with his Xmas classics. I'm sure you all feel the same way and I am certain that Marilyn (totallyamazing36) even plays these recordings in July! (LOL) As I am italian, I would like to wish you all "Buon Natale"!!. ENJOY!!!

Engelbert Humperdinck "There's An Island" 1971 By Request

Engelbert Humperdinck

This goes out to vilmad007. Thanx for the request. I would also like to send this out to the very patient Marilyn (totallyamazing36) She was "jonesing" for her Engelbert! (great pun, huh?) This is taken from the 1971 LP "Another Time, Another Place". I too remember it getting a fair amount of airplay when the LP came out. Engelbert was hugh in my hometown (Albany, NY) All the local dj's loved both him and Tom. That's why they used to feature some of their LP cuts. (Those were the days.) I ...

Tom Jones "City Girl" RARE recording. Played on my GE Wildcat record player

Tom Jones

This is the B side to the rare Parrot single "What A Party". (posted earlier) As with Engelbert, Tom has quite a few hidden gems on his Parrot singles that never made it to LP or CD. This is just one of many. I would also like to send this out to Maynardcat and Burton Charles Smith ("Good mornin' Youtubers!") and all the other vintage record player collectors out there. I really enjoy your videos! I plan on starting on the Engelbert Epic records B sides soon but before I do that, I've gotta ...

By request...More of my Beatles room and record player

By request...More of my Beatles room and record player

Sorry it took so long to post this video but here it is finally, more of my Beatles collection. Sorry I didn't post more of my vinyl collection. I will get to it soon but as you can see I have quite a bit and it's gonna be a chore to pull out all the singles and lps and find a way to display them. I've got to figure a way to film them with my tri-pod as it is quite difficult to hold the camera and showcase certain items. (as you can tell I am a novice at this) There is so much more to share ...

Engelbert Humperdinck "You Love" 1967

Engelbert Humperdinck

This is the B side to Engelbert's massive hit "There Goes My Everything". This is his first non LP Parrot B side. This song did appear as a bonus track on the German CD "Engelbert" (his 4th LP) but never on any LP. This is also another Gordon Mills composition. Only Engelbert's first 5 lps were ever issued as cds and only in Germany. (I'm lucky to own all 5) From "We Made It Happen" on, the tracks have shown up on various cds but never released as originally intended. It has something to do ...

Engelbert Humperdinck "Three Little Words" 1968

Engelbert Humperdinck

This is the B side to my 2nd all time favorite Engelbert song "Les Bicyclettes De Belsize" taken from my favorite LP, his 4th album "Engelbert". This song did appear as a bonus track on the German issue of the "Engelbert" CD but again never appeared on any LP. This is another Gordon Mills composition and it was also recorded by another one of Gordon's acts, Leapy Lee. It appears as the B side to his moderate hit "Here Comes The Rain". (a Reed/Mason composition) There is one more obscure ...

Engelbert Humperdinck "Pretty Ribbon" 1967

Engelbert Humperdinck

This is the B side to Engelbert's hugh hit "Am I That Easy To Forget". This one was posted on youtube before but I promised all you Engelbert fans out there that I would post ALL of his rare B sides. As with "That Promise", this song does appear on the German CD of "The Last Waltz" as a bonus track. Again this is a song that never appeared on any LP. Note the picture sleeve is another shot from the same session they used for "The Last Waltz" LP. Out of all of Engelbert's B sides, this one is ...

Engelbert Humperdinck "That Promise" 1967

Engelbert Humperdinck

This one is a real oldie. It is the B side to his worldwide smash hit "The Last Waltz" In the late eighties Engelbert's first 5 lps were issued on CD in Germany and this was included as a bonus track on "The Last Waltz" CD. It's the only time it ever appeared on CD. It was never included on any LP. This is also the first Parrot single that was issued with a USpicture sleeve. Only a handful of his Parrot singles were issued with pic sleeves in this country. They are as follows; "The Last ...

Engelbert Humperdinck "How Does It Feel" 1972

Engelbert Humperdinck

This is the B side to the beautiful "In Time" single. This is yet another song that never made it to any LP. "In Time" is another great Engelbert song that should have been a monster hit for him and was always a great favorite of mine. I remember it getting a fair amount of airplay but failed to crack the american top 40. I know it did better overseas and deserved to do better stateside. The follow-up single "I Never Said Goodbye" was a big hit in Japan yet again it failed to make our top 40 ...
