My Friend Shayna lost her best friend Blue yesterday. I recorded this song a couple of years ago in my studio and thought I'd put it together with pics of Shayna and Blue. This song is an old folk song from long ago. Joan Baez used to sing it and it always made me cry. Losing a pet is so damned hard.

Great ride to Colby Mountain Lookout! Ken Jordan has been working the lookout for the last 25 summers. He was very hospitable and let us up the tower to take in the view. Also had water for the horses! Its a 12 mile loop from Butte Meadows snow mobile park and a perfect ride for beginning trail riders.
In the 90s I was an airborne traffic reporter for Metro Traffic in Sacramento. Joe Miano was the pilot and I sat in the backseat with all of my radio gear. We happened to be flying over Folsom Lake when a listener called one of my radio stations who said they were driving over Folsom Dam and a big gush of water was coming out.
