Sanibel Island, 12-07-09
Today we went to resident access 3 off of West Gulf Dr. The water was pretty calm and there was only a slight breeze. It got up to 73 degrees today and the water temperature in the Gulf is down to 68 degrees.

Sanibel Island, 11-11-09
Today we went out to resident access 2 off of West Gulf Dr. It was really windy and the surf was pretty rough. We started coughing even before we got on the beach. There is Red Tide in the air. It didn't reach shore but it is definitely airborne.

Captiva Island, Turner Beach, 11-09-09
Today we stopped at Turner Beach to check the waves. They were a fairly good size and there were quite a few people trying to surf. There is a tropical storm passing offshore. The high temp. for today was 81* and the water temp. in the Gulf is 76*.
Blind Pass, 11-09-09
Today we stopped at Blind Pass to check out the waves. There is a high surf advisory in effect due to Tropical Storm Ida out in the Gulf.
Captiva Island, 10-16-09
This video was taken on the beach in front of The Mucky Duck restaurant. We have a cold front on the way and the surf is starting to pick up. It was still hot today but is supposed to start to cool down a little tomorrow.
Captiva Island, 10-13-09
Today we had to be out on Captiva to check on something for a friend. On the way back we noticed that The Crow's Nest at Tween Waters Inn was running a prime rib special so we stopped there for dinner. This video is taken from the Tween Waters Inn Beach. Today it got up to 93* and the water temp is down to 86*

Sanibel island, 10-08-09
Today we went to resident access 1 off of West Gulf Dr. There was nobody else on the beach even though the temp. got up to 95* today.

This was taken from the Causeway spoil island B. It got up to 93* today and was sunny all day. Pretty soon we'll have to start going to the gulf beaches to watch the sunset.

Today we were at Pointe Santo again. The beach was still pretty empty. It got up to 90* today. There were some shells on the beach but they were all pretty small common shells and broken shells.

Today we went to Lighthouse Beach. It was pretty busy but it looked like a lot of Florida visitors. The high for the day was 88*.
