The annual Guy Fawkes celebration in Linthicum, Maryland, at the Center for Fawksian Pursuits is a legend in the Baltimore/DC area--and across the world. Here, Conrad Bladey explains how his research into the traditions of this quintessentially English celebration have breathed new life back into the Fifth of November back in southern England. This video features the torchlight parading of the Guy, the ritual burning of the Hastings wood, and the obligatory fireworks.

The Twits are probably the most revolting of Dahl's literary creations. Here are the first few chapters from Dahl's book The Twits, with illustrations by Quentin Blake. Go to Amazon.com to get your own copy ofthe Twits. It's cheaper than Internet access, and twice as disgusting!...
