TWM Metrobus 2903 on the 366 19th Nov 09

Recorded on the 19th November, this is (for now) my last ever run on a TWM metrobus, though I do want to get down at some point before the last PB/LH/AG examples go. Again on 19th November, sweet sounding 2903 was in use on the 366 diagram and this is the 1830 departure ex Walsall. Good driver too, I remember him from my last run on 2949 as he made sure we got into 4th on the dual carriageway! Farewell to the TWM metrobuses, I cannot believe that only a year ago very considerable numbers ...

TWM Metrobus 2668 on the 107 19th Nov 09

The nearest date I could get to being down for the last Walsall Metrobus day was over a week prior unfortunately, and in terms of metrobus actvity was very soul destroying. Only 2 were operational in Walsall, 2887 on the 340/1 and 2903 on the 366. When I got over to Sutton I was very uplifted to find 2668 (a668uoe) in use on an all day diagram on the 107, rather than just peak extras, this is recorded on the 10.40 ex Sutton heading into town. First Manchester 30297 d314lnb sound only

An old sound only file I found and one I always liked, First Manchester 30297 (GM Buses 5314 if we want to be proper) is fairly indicative of the somewhat unhealthy fleet the company were running towards the end of 2004. (see other files I have on this page, nearly all the First Manchester files are from the same time period).
