You know, this is a pretty nice hack. I think the custom block work is done pretty well and makes for some creative levels. I see your intention with the switching between Mario and Luigi, but if there's only one person playing, it gets a little wonky (in my case, I had to set P2 controls). Since I found myself being caught off guard by many of the new blocks, I think it would help to have the intro level explain the function of each new block, including the character switching gimmick.
