The bellringers of St Matthew's have long had a tradition of ringing in the new year with friends and parishioners. Afterwards they trek up to the roof of the belltower to watch the fireworks spouting forth from Auckland's other iconic tower, the Sky Tower. Enjoy the view and hearing Auld Lang Syne in Maori by the Aotearoa Maori Chorale. May 2010 be filled with peace and joy, love and justice.
