First outing of two new passenger cars: the business car B-7 and parlor observation Chama. Also on their first outing, a string of four flat cars (Bachmann kits, floquil paint, microscale decals). We ride one of the flat cars over and under the new bridge. As we pass under, a special train of business cars passes overhead.

A new bridge was put in service today and was visited by the Directors inspection train. The bridge was designed by the Waynesville Bridge and Iron Works at the Waynesville, Il Development Office. Manufacturing was done by the Zephyrhills, Fl manufacturing facility. The bridge is 48" long with a 46"span. Horizontal clearance is 7" and vertical clearance is 10". After the business cars were completely finished, engine 178, baggage 164, coach 312, the business cars, and parlor observation Salida toured the line

Three VIP members of the railroad Board of Directors chartered an inspection trip. D&S 177 was assigned along with baggage 167 and Parlor-Observation Durango. The three business cars were fresh out of the shop and not completely finished. The Parlor-Observation was for invited vips and the company videographer was fortunate to catch the consist during the run.
