Hasheem Thabeet Story for CNN inside Africa
Hasheem is a national hero for young athletes in Tanzania. At 2.2 meters, he was the number 2 NBA draft pick and he was drafted to the Memphis Grizzlies. Astonishingly, he never played basketball till he was 15 years old. He credits his success on hardwork and determination, and a little luck! I managed to spend a couple of days with him for the story that I filed for CNN. He was nice and really down to earth. One of my most fun shoots!
