We enjoyed THE GREAT WALL - MUTIANYU on November 1, 2009. The same day the government opted to seed the clouds to help the drought. The end result was about a 4" (10cm) snowstorm. We visited two Hutongs in Beijing. One near Shishahai and the other Nan Luo Gu Xiang. This offers a glimpse into the disappearing neighborhoods in Beijing, but maybe China as a whole. They are narrow streets, and traditional buildings. At the entrances to these places, you will be approached by Rickshaw Vendors offering varied tours. Would have been great if we had the time. Make some time to have a beer at the Pass by Cafe. Not only is it cosy and quaint, but they have a clean western ...

In the quaint little town of Greenfield, NH USA there is a Farm Stand called the Yankee Farmer. It is owned by Steve and Kathy Seigars. A number of years ago Steve saw 12th Century Trebuchets on a NOVA special and he knew he had to have one. This is an annual event now in the fall. We were lucky to be driving by at the right time.
