The Junction Walk  - Girraween  National Park

We follow the Junction Track through patches of native wildflowers in full bloom and enjoy the magnificent panorama created by giant boulders, the creek bedrock, and the surrounding granite hills. The track takes us to the junction of Bald Rock Creek and Ramsay Creek. The water from these creeks eventually flows into rivers in southern Australia.

CATHEDRAL ARCH - GIRRAWEEN

A light hearted look at the climb to Cathedral Arch which is at The Girraween Environmental Lodge. The climb took us to the top of the hill set with massive granite boulders and panoramic views across to the pyramids. The Lodge is set on 400 acres of private land surrounded by the National Park.

AFTER THE STORM  -  GIRRAWEEN

PLEASE NOTE: The music used is SMARTSOUND ROYALTY FREE from "Classical Suite No 5" the track is "Piano Sonata 30-1st movement. On the first afternoon of our three days visit to Girraween National Park, a thunderstorm rolled in, followed by a clear night and a beautiful sunrise over the lake. Wild kangaroos bound out of the bush to catch the early morning sun.

Possums

Captured with a Sony PMW-EX1 and using a hand held LED torch for lighting, Mum Possum with Baby Possum pay us a visit while we stayed at the Girraween Environmental Lodge. Situated on 400 Acres of private land surrounded by National Parks, the land is home to a great variety of Flora and Fauna. Girraween National Park is about 20 mins drive South of Stanthorpe in the Granite Belt of Queensland.

DISCOVER 1770

This beautiful part of Queensland is located approx. 500 Kms north of Brisbane and has easy access to the southern part of The Great Barrier Reef. This video clip shows some of the views from the Joseph Banks National Park. The Esplanade has been landscaped and well equipped with tables, shelter and free Bar-B-Ques.
