His friends, Gordo and Cooper, understand that friends who work together can accomplish things that individuals can't do alone. But will it work? It is a play on the story from Exodus 17 when Aaron and Hur hold up Moses's arms so the Israelites can win a battle.

October's virtue is Individuality - discovering who you are meant to be so you can make a difference. Cooper breaks a window and runs away. He thinks he has gotten away with it but realizes God made him fearless and he needed to do the right thing and confess that he broke the window.
Gordo and Tanner learn that wisdom has two parts: 1. Knowing what to do and 2. Doing it! Proverbs 22:3 - Wise people see danger and go to a safe place. But childish people keep going and suffer for it.

To be wise, you must hang out with wise people. Gordo believes he can solve his problems scientifically, but realizes he needs other people to help him with is problem. In I Kings 12, Rehoboam listened to the wrong people rather than the wise people. Wisdom is finding out what you should do and doing it.
