Game Review: Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days

Game Review: Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days

Another entry into the Kingdom Hearts series. Honestly, this gaiden game, meant to expand the characters of Organization XIII (The last two game's villains.), does nothing but continue to mess up the plot and lore of the series. This game is responsible for a great deal of confusion amongst people, particularly pertaining to the character Xion, and at this point I'm not sure if Nomura even understands what's going on. The gameplay is the same as it's predecessor in most ways, with a few ...

Game Review: WET

Game Review: WET

WET is a game developed by Artificial Mind and Movement and published by Bethesda, a Zenimax Media Company. This game is distinctly average, with the controls, gameplay, graphics, and story all screaming mediocrity. It's a bargain bin game or a rental, as it is painfully short, although considering how boring the combat can be, that might be a blessing in disguise. There is no story aside from kill everything, and Eliza Dushku's voice acting is as one would expect, and does nothing for the ...

Game Review: Dragon Age: Origins

Game Review: Dragon Age: Origins

Dragon Age is a RPG by Bioware, and is by far the best I have played this year. Bioware definitely knows how to make games and inspire confidence, with some of the best dialogue, plots, characters, and lore around. You can tell this game was carefully crafted. With a magnificent musical score, decent graphics, good gameplay, and an overall smooth experience that will keep you coming back, Dragon Age is my clear cut choice for game of the year. My only major complain comes in the form of the ...

Game Review: Medieval 2 Total War

Game Review: Medieval 2 Total War

Two things. One, I made this video Friday, but had no time to upload it between now and then. Two, I'm a bit disoriented in it for various reasons, but I'm not redoing because, well, I'm lazy. I haven't had any games to review lately, actually, which is entirely my fault, but I digress. Medieval 2 is a strategy game for the PC, the fourth in the series and the indirect sequal to Medieval. It's very shiny and flashy, with better graphics, things like changing uniforms, finishing moves from ...

Game Review: Morrowind

Game Review: Morrowind

Morrowind is a fantasy game set in the TES universe, by Bethesda, a Zenimax Media Company! It's generally regarded as the best in the series, and while I prefer Daggerfall, Morrowind is certainly a good game in its own right. It has far more variation and a more interesting world than Oblivion, in my opinion, at the expense of the ease of the combat that Oblivion has, as well as the shiny graphics. It doesn't have a good story, like an TES game, but the world, the characters, the musical ...

Game Review: Oblivion

Game Review: Oblivion

Oblivion, a game by Bethesda, a Zenimax Media Company, is an attempt at refreshing the RPG genre with new ideas as far as game mechanics go. If you're an RPG fan, you'll either love it or hate it. The game mechanics are not to my tastes, personally, the dialogue is stale and boring, and the plot is a cliched piece of crap. However, the lore behind the story is more than solid, the environment is beatifully detailed, the soundtrack is outstanding, and the world is superb. As usual, Bethesda ...

Game Review: Fallout 3

Game Review: Fallout 3

Fallout 3, a game by Bethesda, makes for a very interesting ride. It's definitely a shooter first, but it has the atmosphere, depth, and writing of a RPG, which makes for quite the experiance. While fans of the original series may rage over Bethesda picking and choosing from the lore what they like, or how they've changed the game mechanics and the factions, overall it's a good experience well deserving of the praise it has received. That said, it isn't perfect. The story is lackluster, the ...

Game Review: Borderlands

Game Review: Borderlands

I lowered the quality a bit, so I hope it helps. If it doesn't, leave a comment, and I'll try a bit more next video. Anyway, Borderlands is an overall excellent game mechanically, musically, and entertainment and multiplayer wise. The only complaint I have is that the driving could have been done better, and the vehicles feel tacked on at best. However, that is just a minor dent in an overall smash hit of a game. 9.5/10

Game Review: Overlord 2

Game Review: Overlord 2

Overlord 2 is a distinctly average game. That's all there is to it. It isn't particularly cinematic or impressive with the combat, it's just a game to mess around with. Unfortunately, it has little to no replay value, and too many redundant elements to make it worthwhile either way. 6/10.

Game Review: Modern Warfare 2 Part Two

Game Review: Modern Warfare 2 Part Two

Part Two of my Modern Warfare 2 review, covering specops and the multiplayer. A very good game, no doubt, but not worthy of a ten. Not as good as it's predecessors as far as the single player and multiplayer balance goes.
