This was a bittersweet end of the carnival. It's the last carnival of mcdonagh's, and the carnival was close to ending. I had to get one more ride of Pharaoh's Fury in.. this one took the cake, for it had a special interview with the one who sets up and etars down this ride - mcdonagh's very own Justin! The funny about this is that as much as he helps to set up and tear down this ride, he doesn't like riding on it! LOL! But what a sweet video to tribute for my final ride on Pharaoh's Fury....

12 carnivals in 6 counties, and it all ended here. On September 25, 2009, I watched as the rides' lights went off, and for me, it was for the last time for the 2009 carnival season. Hope to see mcdonagh's again in 2010!

White Lake was one of the best places to experience the Skywheel, especially at night. The view of the surroundings makes me feel like I am in the middle of the countryside. Not to mention the added thrills of being way up there. This was my final ride of Skywheel, as the St. Patrick Festival is the last carnival for mcdonagh's.

This is the Skywheel, one of the most thrilling wheels out on there. It was made by Allan Herschell and Chance Rides, and operated by ride operators of mcdonagh's Amusements. This ride was made in 1965, and refurbished by mcdonagh's in 2003, and is one of Thrillseeker's favorite wheels to get on. This ride is part of the midway of the St. Patrick's End of Summer Festival, located on Huchins Road and Union Lake Road, in White Lake. This video was taken on September 25, 2009.

You know, what can be better than an LED-filled ride which goes at the highest of them all - at 75 feet?? How about making its 100th ride at night, with Justin at the helm! I wish this was as exciting as when I made my 100th ride on Fireball, but pretty much, the people on Fury did make it interesting. I say so myself.

Yikes.... I haven't seen the Skywheel since .... Port Huron? That was a VERY long time ago. Lately, I have been realizing about how the thrills of Skywheel go. It all depends on where you are at when Skywheel comes to its peak. The downward force from the peak would be a huge thrill. 13 of the 17 rides I have felt that force... which includes this nighttime ride 17.

First off, don't mind about me saying it was ride 22. it's actually ride 32. In any case, this was the perfect Alpine Bobs ride at night. The new LED lights, and the icicle lights. Add on to that the strobe lights, FOG?!, sirens, many other sound effects, music, screaming people, and rides in total darkness. I mean, that's the total package for Bobs! Too bad this was the last ride for Alpine Bobs, as it is heading to Dallas, Texas....(sniff sniff)
