Alright! After a stroke of heavy luck, I was able to get the Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat characters to fight "nicely" together without freezing/ glitching! I figured out it had something to do with the common1.cns file, located in the MUGEN/data directory. By adding the new commands and fixes from the original Mortal Kombat MUGEN 4.1 pack into my own MUGEN version, the characters now can fight each other!
