The Symphonic Band, under the direction of Dr. John Bannon, is the primary large instrumental ensemble at St. Petersburg College. Membership is open to all students who enjoy playing quality wind band literature. The Percussion ensemble MUN 1440, under the direction of John Shaw, is the study and performance of literature in the percussion medium at St. Petersburg College. Rehearsals are in the evening, once a week. Membership is open to all students who enjoy playing quality percussion literature. Repertoire includes the finest literature, including works of George Hamilton Green, Bob Becker, Carlos Chavez, Alice Gomez, Ney Rosauro and many other great composers.

The Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art opened January 22, 2002 on the Tarpon Springs Campus of St. Petersburg College. The Museum's 20th century collection is made up of art from Abraham Rattner's estate donated by Allen and Isabelle Leepa and a large donation made by the Tampa Museum of Art in 1997. The Museum is filled with Rattner's retrospective works: lithographs, tapestries, sculptures, paintings and stained glass. The Education Foundation of the Florida Federation of Business and Professional Womens Clubs Inc. will partner with St. Petersburg College and the St. Petersburg College Foundation to build a house for deserving female students, it was announced jointly today.
